My Podcasting Experience
A podcast is a series of audio or video files which is distributed over the Internet by RSS feeds, to various portable media players. Podcast can be subscribed to and downloaded automatically when new content is added.
It was interesting to create a podcast using audacity and to host it on Podbean.
There is no best way to find Podcast that is of one’s interest. Many of the podcast sites, do have review systems but, not all of them are moderated. Since personal opinion matters most, no matter what the reviews say, you still have to search the database of podcasts and listen to the ones of interest. Trial and error seems to work best. With a full time job sometimes you are hard pressed for time to dig in to all these websites.
The categorization of podcasts in some sites like iTunes are helpful in finding the exemplary ones.
In UAE, VoIP is blocked and there was no way to get hands-on experience to use Gabcast, so missed that.. :(
Connie’s and John’s blogs are the most updated blogs..

Audacity
Audacity is a free audio editor using which we can record/play sounds, import and export WAV, AIFF, and MP3 files, and more. It supports a range of formats that makes a good choice for basic editing. (The price makes the choice even better; it is a freeware)
We’ve been using the software for a while without too many problems. We use it to record old cassettes to digital format, record assignments and perform various tasks.
I would recommend this to anyone who needs to do some basic editing and converting.
